grrrrrr...
Sometimes when our internet messed up, I turn into a big baby and a witch all at the same time. I feel sorry for my sweet husband who has to put up with me.
For instance, yesterday afternoon our wireless internet started to mess up. Then our modem started blinking red. Which means that's a BAD SIGN!
Well we had plans for last night, so we just let it be and got home around 11:30 last night. Both of us always DREAD calling AT&T..don't most of us? I hate being on the phone for over an hour for them to go through 992348 steps to fix it and in the end say "Oh, you just needed to unplug it for ten seconds."
So here's how Seth and my conversation went to see who had to call the AT&T people:
Seth: "You call them"
Me: "No! I called them last time!"
Seth: "But I am tired!"
Me: "Well so am I!"
Seth: "Please call them?"
Me: "No, please don't make me, I hate talking to them!"
Seth: "Why can't you call them?"
Me: "Because I called them last time!"
Seth: "Ugh..we will just wait until tomorrow to call"
Me: "But I want internet now!" (Yes, I sound like a 5 year old)
And so on..that when on for about ten minutes and Seth, being the sweet, understanding, loving, husband that he is...called them.
He was on the phone for approximately an hour. AN HOUR! And here is what the guy on the other end of the phone said:
"I think you need a new modem. You'll have it by Saturday."
Does it REALLY take an hour to decide that? REALLY??
So..we went to bed and I woke up this morning and decided I would call back, talk to someone different just to see what he/she said.
I was on the phone for 48 minutes. At the end she said:
"Just make sure your modem is not close to the DirectTv box."
that was the only problem.
there was an interference with the signals.
REALLY?
does it take almost 2 hours to figure that out??
But alas, I guess it must be a necessary evil to talk to those people for hours in order for the internet to work again..
Iam thankful that it works. But
Can you not tell me why it's not working in like 5 minutes instead of 48???
It's kind of sad how dependant we are nowadays with the internet. I mean, whenever ours isn't working, I feel like crawling in a corner and whining for a good hour or two. Kinda sad, right? But I mean, how else would I get to facebook stalk, tweet, and blog?? Or check the weather, our bank account, or buy some shoes? haha :)
Enough of my whining, I have GOT to get my coupons together and go to Harris Teeter! They are doubling any coupon up to $1.98 in value this week!! Wahooo!!!

3 Wisk laundry detergents at $5 each
-used 3 $2 off coupons
1 24 pack of Angel Soft toilet paper at $9.99
The total: $26. 56 with tax and before coupons.
Then I used $16 ECB's from a previous purchase and the 3 $2 off coupons for Wisk.

2nd Transaction

When we made our trip to Texas, I took a break from couponing so it feels good to get back in the swing of things! :)
All night I have been lazy and watch The Bachelor and now I'm watching Biggest Loser. Seth and I had Chick-fil-a for dinner and TCBY for dessert- yumm!! I really need to get back in the groove of cooking because I don't want to start the new year out feeling unhealthy. Also, not to mention, it costs a lot to eat out!
The house still isn't all the way clean from our new years weekend- all the Christmas decorations still aren't taken down, but you know what? Sometimes it's good to just let it be. I think...
maybe tomorrow I'll get to work.
Until now, I'm being lazy and lovin' every minute of it! :)

02 January 2011
Hello 2011.
Y'all, it's 2011. Can you believe it????? I sure cannot. 2010 went by SOOO fast. I remember when it turned midnight in 2009 and as soon as midnight hit, I said "I'm getting married this year!" I had been looking forward to saying that since I got engaged in August of 2009. This year, I got to kiss my HUSBAND at midnight! Goodness, time flies.
We had such a fun NYE bash here at our home. About 20 of our dearest friends came over to our house to eat and celebrate a new year. Here are a few photos. I didn't take as many as usual because I was too busy catching up with my friends whom I hadn't seen in a long time!! :)

We have so much fun together.
We played lots of rockband that night.
The on-lookers aka all the gents.
These girls are dear to my heart. I must add that we missed certain other friends such as Sarah, Allie, and Rachel!!!! I wish I would have thought to take a picture of when all of us got to skype Rachel. She is currently ACROSS the world in Central Asia serving the Lord as a missionary. I'm so glad we got to see her!!
We had almost everyone spend the night on Friday too, and so we decided to make Saturday a lazy day of card playing, rockband, dance central, and pizza. It was so nice to just be with friends the whole weekend.
I'm thinking 2011 will be a good year for Seth and I!! This year we will find out where Seth will attend law school, I will get to work a lot more with all the weddings we have planned, we are possibly going to Europe to visit my brother (and celebrate our first year of marriage!), and I'm also predicting that one of my married friends will get pregnant..no names, but I do have a few guesses! ;)
I usually don't make new years resolutions because I feel that most of the time, I don't stick with them, but here are a few things I'd like to see happen this year:
1. I want Seth and I to find a great church home.
2. Lose a few pounds so I can look decent for Molly's wedding!
3. I hope Seth and I can find the perfect house for law school. We aren't ready to buy a house, but we want to rent one with a backyard for Penny and hopefully 2 bedrooms.
Anyway, I hope you all had a fun and festive new year and I am excited to see how 2011 unfolds!
Until next time,
Kait
