Stitch Fix #4

My 4th box came a couple days ago and instantly, I wanted to keep it ALL!  I loved every single peice and I could not wait to try them on.   Here's what StitchFix is, if you're wondering...

This time I told my stylist, Patrice (who is THE BOMB at knowing my style) that I was on the hunt for a fun purse...let's see if she delivered!

Here's what was in my box this month:

1. Mariella Animal Print Double Layer Blouse

I loved this top.  I loved the cheetah print, but it was still subtle and classy.  The double layers made it a little dressy and it was so cute on.  However, it was almost $80 just for the shirt, so I decided to return it.  I did love it though.  Super cute and feminine.  SENT BACK!

2. ABI Colorblock Maxi Dress

I loved this dress as well.  It was super comfortable and long, which I loved.  I have tried on so many maxi's where they are too short.  The colors are fun and I loved the pattern.  However, it was a little snug in the chest and I didn't like that it showed my underwear lines. haha...the thing I did love about it though:  it's nursing friendly! And I also think it would be super cute on a preggo mama!  I didn't keep it though.  SENT BACK

3. PRIYA Graphic Chevron Print Mixed Material Tank

Love this top. Fun and whimsical and really comfy!  I am planning on wearing it for Winslow's 1st birthday party tomorrow!  The back is solid blue but I didn't get a photo of it.  Would look great with white pants!  KEPT!

4. HOPKIN ikat v-neck tank

I liked this top as well!  The print is fun, the back comes down lower than the front, and it was great quality.  However, it just wasn't LOVE. The fit was a litle tight through the shoulders..so I sent it back.  SENT BACK

5. Booker Foldover Crossbody Bag

This bag is the BOMB.  I love the color, and the zipper detail on the bag.    The top zips and has a separate compartment than the main body.  I loved the crossbody strap and it can also be worn on the shoulder.  Very versatile.   KEPT.

Overall, I loved this fix.  I was so close to keeping all of the items, but just didn't want to spend that much money right now.  With us moving and such, I just decided to get the bag and one top.  My stylist has my style down pat though, and I love getting it every single month! So great for busy mom's.  I don't ever have to shop with a toddler..who has time for that anyway!? ;)

Texas

I'm finally getting around to finishing up our trip to Texas.  We only spend 3 days here, but it was full of family/friend visits and time on the farm.

Four generations right here!  My grandmother is 89 years old, doesn't she look beautiful?  Winslow's middle name is in honor of her as well.   It's not a family name on my side (it is on hubbys) but it's French and so she is happy about that! :)  (Meme is from France and still goes back half of the year!)

This is my best friend since 4th grade! She has two babies with one more on the way!

And now for some farm pictures:

This photo was taken in January..look how big Winslow is now!

We always love our trips down South..maybe soon we will be there more often (if hubby gets the Austin, Texas job)  Crossing our fingers!

Friday.

So it's Friday..and I don't think I've blogged all week.  Between the babe having Roseola (NO FUN) and lots of stuff happening with our family (mostly good!)  I've been lucky to clean the house once this whole week.  So let's do a little life update, shall we?

1.  The day after we got back from vacay (yes, I promise to finish telling you about our trip ASAP) little man woke up with 103 fever.  YIKES.  He cuddled all day (which i loved) but was so pitiful and sick.  This lasted for three days on and off, so on Saturday we headed to the doctor.  He was feeling so bad and they pricked his finger and the world was over.  He screamed for 20 minutes straight after they were done.  Ugh, it broke my heart.  So turns out he had a virus and it wasn't until we got home that the rash started..which means it was Roseola.  No fun.

2.  Once he started feeling better, we set up a DIY backdrop with a sheet, I made a cake, and we had a mini cake smash photoshoot! AHHHHH it turned out adorable and I am having so much fun planning his birthday party.  Which is less than a week.  (Although he turns one in 17 days).  I can't wait to share them with you!

3.  Want a life update?  Okay!    a)  We are UNDER CONTRACT with our house.  Supposed to close next month. WHAT?  I am crossing my fingers and toes that everything goes smoothly.  Wow.  I can't believe we are moving..

4.  Where are we moving? No idea!  Isn't that comforting?  Haha,  hubby has had 3 interviews so far and we should know something in the next 2 weeks...looks like it will either be Texas or Nevada right now.

5.  So I guess that means I need to start packing up. Again.  Four times in four years.  No, we are not military.  We are just insane.   Depending on where hubby gets a job next, we might stay put longer than 2 years, I hope.  And he's DONE with graduate school in two weeks! Man, oh man, I am so excited for that day.

How's that for a crazy life update?  Life is never boring, that's for sure!  We are just trusting in God's plan for us and I hope to come back soon with news of where we will be next!

Happy Friday!
